the radiator, you decrease it's ability to cool. Sure, most air does go through each item but it does decrease as it gets further back. I put my transmission oil cooler in the fray and my daily temps went up noticably. Nothing drastic, but noticable. I took it off and they went down. Now, if you have an oil cooler, an FMIC and a radiator, you wont necessarily run hotter, but you could. Some have, some haven't. Some people are smart and relocate things to lower that possiblity. Like I've said 100 million times, there ARE properly applied FMICs out there...but I'm speaking to the Ebay jackasses and the people that just want to throw one on there to look cool, at any cost. Those people DO exist more and more as the cost of the car comes down. I was on an Eclipse board where they SERIOUSLY would not give you respect on the forum unless you had an FMIC for the car. Swear to god...it was practically in writing. You were either cool or not, regardless of the gains. We aren't far off from stuff like this :(
