| how can you judge what is or isn't a fair labor rate for it. The fact the engine is out of the car simply makes removing the plenum a simpler process (ie you dont lose all that time disconnecting and trying not to damage the EFI harness). However once you have the plenums off your back to a standard injector job. Which is slow and tedious if you want it done right. My question is this: If he just removed the whole fuel rail and moved it to the new engine w. out replacing each oring (not adviseable) then I don't see it taking quite 7 hours, however if he removed each injector from the rail and put new orings on each and reinstalled it in the new engine then 7 hours for the WHOLE job of tearing apart one engine and extracting the injectors and tearing apart another engine and reinstalling them is NOT unheard of. Frankly having the skills to remove delicate injectors from a fuel rail to reuse them isn't a just "pull w. pliers" kind of operation.
