Message	one - there is a difference. Also injectors are a delicate and slow process, last think you want is someone rushing through the job only to find a pinched oring or leak once it's all back together. Given that you had him tear down one engine to get them out and tear down a second to install etc. I think it's not really as execessive as you seem to think.
