because the AEM senses wheelspin based on fluctuations in RPM rather than reading it directly off of wheel sensors (ABS sensors). Obviously, getting the readings straight from the individual wheels themselves is better than guessing the amount of wheelspin through RPM. Also, while going around corners, all 4 wheels are going at different speeds, which means if you solely base it off of RPM, it will not be able to tell if you are turning or going straight (which require different amounts and characteristics of power cut). Keep us posted on the price. I'd definitely be interested in one... but I'd use it WITH my Racelogic traction control unit. :)
