It was difficult for me to get used to the on/off engagement style. But it defintely holds the power well. Once you get used to it, it is not that bad, but I do find that I have to actually think about what i am doing (esp. on big hills and in stop and go traffic) because it is not what I am used to. All the shifts are smooth, taking off in 1st in the only time i have a problem adjusting to the way that it engages. I can't balance or launch really smoothly like I can in the Z. But Chris(husband) is used to it and he really likes it.
