The Stillen supercharger is a positive displacement type supercharger. It delivers full boost right off idle and delivers full torque instantly. The other brands are centrifugal superchargers. They look like a turbo being run by a belt. Their compressor is similar to a turbo's, and therefore they have noticeable lag. Since with that type of compressor the boost is proportional to engine rpm, you only make full boost at redline. Off idle they won't be making much boost at all. Their power band is not nearly as good as one produced by a positive displacement SC.
