however, i had a chic in a 350 try to race me the other night. too funny. it goes something like this (i suck at story telling).
so i was heading out on a date (WITH A GIRL) and i was crossing over the highway just by my house. i stop at the light on the other side of the highway. a brand new track 350 pulls up next to me. i looked over and it was a chica driving with her bf next to her.
i said "hey, nice Z...track eh?"
..she said "track? whats that?"
..i said "the model of Z you have...its a track model"
..she said "how do you know?"
..i said "cause i kinda know things about Z's and stuff"
..she said "cool, but thats not a 350 your driving"
..i said "dhu"
..she said "its twinturbo? wow"
..i said "no, thats just a sticker for a website dedicated to the 300zx...oh forget it..nevermind"
..she said "oh...mines faster..heh"
..i said "yea, i know. i like the 350. they are nice cars."
..she said "how do you know so much about these cars? ..or Z's"
..i said "just do" well the light turns green and i take off normally. she paces me and then punches it. tooooo bad the next light was red. so we get to the next light and i asked her if she was trying to race. she said she was and that she beat me. i said that i was not racing and i have already lost to a 350. she then asked if we should race again. i said ok thats fine...but wait one second. i proceed'd to do a minor burnout to scrub up my falkens..yay. she looked at me like i was stupid (i am) ...so i see the light next to us is turning yellow. i put it in 2nd and brought the rpm's up to stall. our light turned green and it was on. i had a sweet ass launch. it was over before 35mph. she was atleast 3-4 cars behind by 70mph and i slowed down. we get to the next light and
i said "is that better?"
she said "wow, kinda fast...i didnt know that car was that fast"
.. i asked "is that a standard?"
she said "yea...why?"
..i said "well, nevermind."
..i said "have a great night and enjoy that car. take it to the track and enjoy it...not the drag strip though!"
..she said "thanks, you too"
its a shame that a lot of people are buying cars just cause of hype and they know nothing about them. :(
