Me (Carlos Ramirez on every forum) and Michelle VR4LUV ([ www.3si.org ]) and others would like to thank everyone who made it out to Speedzone on 1/6/01. We counted 53 cars and some had already left thus we estimate that we had over 60 cars. All RX7s, Supras, 3000VR4/Stealths, 300ZXs, 240s, (even a honda with license a plate V8Killr :-) basically a lot of big boys with some big toys :-) We had over 26 people actually signup and pay for the 5 hour passes at Speedzone and I think everyone made out well on that that deal. The idea behind the meet is mostly to meet others in town and I feel that task was accomplished and in addition we were able to have some fun. Many others met later the TGI Fridays I wasn't able to make it because of a previous engagement I remembered of. Can someone shed any info on this? There was some discussion on what to do next? And alot of people are interested in a Dyno day and a track event, whether its a 1/4 Drag Strip or a lapping track people went either way. We will research doing this as I know that we can easy get one of three dyno's in town. My concern is that we probably won't be able to get more than 20 cars in one day. And if we have a turn out like our last event there is no way we can get everyone on the dyno :-) So we may have some spectators. I like to get people to get really involved in this type of event and maybe we can pitch like $5 extra and award that money to the cars that produce the most horse power and produce the most horsepower/weight ratio. I am not sure on details but I figure more people would be involved if they get something free out of it :-) Maybe we can get a shop to sponsor a gift of free dyno run or some dyno tuning.

As far as future events I am thinking of the following please let me know what you guys/gals think. 1) Dyno Day
2) 1/4 Track Day
3) Lapping Event
4) AutoX Event
5) A cruise of atlanta
6) Car shows
The idea behind the cruise of Atlanta is that we tour around the city and promote are cars out on the street and maybe we could get some sponsorship for doing this from of local business where that money can be used to facilate another event. Also it would promote city by being a local attraction. I am hoping to get maybe a police escort and some general publicity from the media to attract some sponsers. There is ofcourse no final details on this and is open to everyones input so please do feel free to give some feedback..
