Since he is riding that Triumph and not a chopper, I would advise him to get a Full-Faced helmets and not those Open faced ones or the donuts for that matter. The skin drafts could be avoided with a leather jacket and pants are a good idea. When you slide and roll the jacket and the pants have padding and the material is very resistant to be worn through. Gloves are a must and shoes are optional. Like Kyle said, "Prepare to spend $1000 for Safety Equipment."
