| I know a lot of guys with bikes. My dad has one. He wrecked when he was younger, and got some new teeth. My boss had been riding bikes since he was a tyke. He wrecked last year and got to have a titanium inplant put in his newly broken femur. I've got a friend who broke his arm this year thanks to a bad driver side-swiping him. Every couple of days I hear about a motorcyclist getting run over and killed here in Panama City - I think there have been 5 deaths this year. A guy I work with wrecked his bike, and got a new upper lip. My ex-glfs dad used to have a bike. He hit some gravel and had to lay it down. After a couple skin grafts, and only a few short months in the hospital he was able to return home. As a souvenir, they let him keep all the gravel that was shot into his flesh as he slid along the ground. The pieces that came out over the next six months were also nice reminders of that incident. All of these guys were experienced riders - but it just doesn't matter. To me, riding a bike is not worth the risk. "Good Idea??" No. (IMHO)
