| I know many of you have wondered..hmm, I sure as hell don't want to pay up the ying-yang for "Stealin" pads which are just Axxis "make your rims dirty as hell pads" re-badged. So..what do you do then? Easy, call Porterfield and get these: But wait..first the pic you guys love for some wierd reason! The "brown box" pic:
 Ok, now the actual box:
 Content descriptions!!..having fun yet?
Ok, on with the real stuff...Here is what Hawk HPS109.710 pads look like in the box..yeah..weak stickers!:
Now a little size comparison with a US penny:

Okay..after properly jacking/securing the car and removing the front wheels remove the allen screws located at the center middle section of the caliper (remove the bolt sheaths and the "spring" piece)..yep kids..that's right! You don't need to remove the calipers!:
It should now look like this:
Wow, not much left there of the old pads!:
From this angle you can clearly see the old pads on both sides:
I used a screw driver and hammer to gently tap the old pads out from the caliper..it's very simple:
Yep, that's out far enough..just need to be able to grab it:
 Yep..it's still that simple!
Side by side comparison of old pad and new pad:

to put the new pads in it is not neccessary to release the line pressure as I will show you. You see the 3 pistons on each side..simply use the old pad to squeeze the pistons on one side in..just enough to slide the new pads in..do this for each side..install the back side first..it's easier that way..this picture was used to show the pistons..not the order to do it..it was way easier the other way around..Haha!:

here is the two new pads installed in the caliper:
Put the first sheath and bolt in..then install the spring (arrow facing the front of the car) and then press the other sheath down on the spring and install the other allen bolt..hand tight (don't want to strip these bad boys):
After this use an allen wrench to fully secure them:
Put the wheels back on..remove the jack/stands..and you're good to go. Remember that the pads are a little more "extreme" than the ones that come with the kits..so they need warmed up a slight bit..usually it takes about two or three regular "brakings" to get them to temp. Then they work like champs! My dirty ass car, it's been raining like mad:
