Message While the Supra whose dyno you showed did have a more even torque curve, Ash's car still put out more average torque to the rear wheels than the Supra.

The Supra's torque peaks at 530 lbs, holds almost steady but slowly drops to about 475.

Ash's car peaks at 645 lbs of torque, then drops down to about 450 lbs. His torque does drop more, but on average it still put out much more torque over the duration of that 2000 rpm wide powerband. Doing a rough estimate by averaging the output at 5 points through the 2000 rpm powerband, the Supra put out on average about 505 lbs of torque, while Ash's put out on average about 550 lbs of torque over the powerband.

Also, look at the power to Ash's wheels. Even though it's a bit laggy, the powerband is nice and even, with the power holding steady, giving him the opportunity to utilize nearly peak power throughout each gear. The Supra's powerband is not nice at all. It is either cammed too aggressively, or the turbo is just too big on it. It doesn't even get a chance to rev through the gear and use its max power, because by the time it's about to hit max HP, the engine is redlining. You don't get the luxury of having the area under the curve on both sides of the slope since the engine redlines before the power begins to dip- you only get the slope leading up to the max HP and then you're redlining.

Out of a max hp of 762 hp, throughout the 2000 rpm powerband Ash's car averages about 730 hp, using the same method as before. Meanwhile, the Supra, which peaked at 618 hp, only averages about 570 hp over its 2000 rpm powerband.

Remember, it's the *average* HP that your engine produces over the run which matters. I'd have to take Ash's car here.
