Message running all the time with datalogging, the ZEMulator to allow me to datalog AND tune the vehicle in real-time. What you are saying, that you can tune the car at the track and maximize what the engine is doing to get the highest MPH or ET's, is complete and utter bullshit. How do I know? Because I've tried. In every case that I have taken my car to the track and fiddled with parameters, I have yet to make better MPH without taking it to the dyno and tuning it first. Sure you can start cranking your timing up, but you can't hear the engine well enough to do it safely. You simply cannot safely tune a car at the track. Here's a good picture of what happens when you do that.

This is a piston with broken ring lands. This came out of my car. This was cylinder #2. In my original engine buildup my machinist screwed up a valve stem seal which cause oil to be sucked through the valve guide and into this cylinder. Oil lowers the octane of any fuel. I know exactly when this piston broke, it was at the Gainesville Raceway on a wednesday night test and tune. I was just getting into tuning my car and had known what changes will increase power output so I began increasing the timing. I got my times into the 12's on stock turbos and street tires that night, but after doing so a few times, my MPH and ET's dropped into the mid 13's. The car was also bucking and jerking down the track. That piston suffered its failure going down the track when I could not hear what was going on in the engine. It was detonating on cylinder #2 terribly which lead to this failure.

Now if you are going to tell me that you can take a car to the track and solely because of tuning it there you are going to be able to make a stock turbo'd Z run 11.6's because of the tuning, I'm gonna once again call bullshit. You are an exceptoinal driver with a car well configured for drag racing. I'm not going to raise the flag and accuse you of having something other than stock turbos, but it seems highly fishy to me that in the 13 years the Z has been around and with the large number of them having stock turbos, that no one I know of has been able to make one run in the 123MPH bracket. Either you are an exceptional driver, or there's more going on than you are letting out of the bag, and dont tell me its your 'track tuning' doing the trick.

BTW, awesome times and MPH.
