up working in their field of study. and a ton of jobs just require "a degree" without specifying any major. a four year degree is sort of like being in limbo sometimes, which is what you describe. Binghamton was so depressed when I was there that if you didn't work for the hospital or the local government, you were SOL. Big Blue in Endicott (IBM) was laying off folks every day. They may have completely pulled out by now. chin up, the economy is looking up :c)
