: Yesterday I finally got the plenum off at about 4:04PM. UPS was supposed to pick up my SS fuel lines from Larry at Sound Performance (630-893-5002) but they never showed up. Larry even stayed an hour and a half extra after he closed but they never came. Stupid UPS. Anyway... so I was supposed to get them today so I could begin reassembly but now I'm going to have to wait until MONDAY. 8P Currently my engine looks like this:

: The magazine pages are over the intake runners going down to the valves to keep stuff from falling in. I have several parts off for painting right now. They look really good. I would've liked to have had them powder coated, but I didn't think I had time for that. Now with the UPS delay I guess I could have but I don't think any powdercoating shops are open over the weekend. Alas. Currently the parts look like this:

: you can't really tell here, but that's like a Ferrari yellow on the balance tube. In this pic it kinda just looks like an icky puke-yellow but it's not. Heh : Since I have the extra time, I'm going to take off my valve covers and paint them, too. According to Larry that's pretty easy. We'll see, eh? Heheh I'll post more pix on Monday & Tuesday.
