:where in any of the previous posts did you see any mention of the Z? All they're saying is in Japan the Skyline model line up is used as a family SEDAN much like we use the Toyota Camry and Nissan Maxima. Not all Skyline's are equiped with 4wd and a RB26DETT motor PERIOD. The Skyline with the RB26DETT engine is known as the Nissan Skyline GT-R PERIOD. It is a 2 door based on the same chasis used by the 4-door models PERIOD. Which is why it is not regarded as a Supercar (and rightly so) in Japan, and only is here because people like you hold it to an unneccessarily high standard based on rumors and false truths. Yes the Skyline GT-R model is powerful and has a strong racing history, but that tears nothing away from the fact that it is just a NORMAL production car with a NORMAL production engine. Get over the hype, and just STOP IT. jeesh... Well I dont about calling him retarded. The Skyline being a normal car in Japan shouldn't take anything away from the flagship GTR. Just cause there based on the same chassis does not make it inferior. The SC300 is based on the same chassis as the Supra, does that take anything away from the Supra? No. Sorry but the Skyline GTR is regarded as Japans best supercar. If anything, the Z is not regarded as a super car in Japan anymore. The Skyline GTR has always been ahead of the Z in performence and will continue to be. The GTR is (was) Nissans flagship at the time both cars were built side by side. The car is held to a high standard because it IS the tuners car of choice. It is far from a normal car with a normal engine.
