| Sometimes you're quite clueless Kenny. Look past the issue and the "sides" and take the post at face value. I asked if they were double welded because I think they were as well, and as you and I both know, less is better. If they are not, great. And it is a big deal. If you factor in the average cost of installing downpipes (since most people do NOT DIY), if a set cracks you've now gone over the cost of just buying and installing a set of quality pipes. Same reason people buy urethane front fascias that cost three times as much as the cheapy fiberglass ones. You don't bitch at them and call that pointless do you? $150 copied pipes + ~$200 to install = $350 IF they crack (remember, time will tell), the person on the cheap end has to pay another $150 for the copies + another $200 on install. That's $700 spent now and they STILL have copies. Had they bought the original $450 pipes + $200 install that'd be $650 and a LOT less hassle. If they wanted to get quality pipes this time around, now the total cost is $1,000! It's that simple. Some people in this world are cheap and don't mind the risk to save some bucks. Some are not. There will ALWAYS be those two groups, no fighting it. This information is out there for those to make an informed decision. Most people don't calculate the risks in their head...I over think sometimes. Deal with it.
