The PRofec is an electronic boost controller that employs fuzzy logic.
Its powerful CPU allows your engine to be at the razor edge of performance more often, safely. In its learn mode, our
hardware and software process data from the vehicle and, using this more intelligent, interactive "mapping," the PRofec's
stepping motor not only controls, but anticipates boost spikes. Unlike most computers that only operate in "black and white"
(1's and 0's), fuzzy logic can "think" in shades of gray and "learn" direct answers to problems. Where normal computers
stair-step in "yes" and "no's," fuzzy logic can go straight to the
answer. In recent years, fuzzy logic has gained popularity on everything from the famous bullet trains in Japan to washing
machines and thermostats. The latter is a great example when we look at fuzzy logic's application in the PRofec. Standard
on/off thermostats will turn on the heating or air conditioning when the air reaches the set temperature. Fuzzy logic thermostats
turn
on the A/C or heat a little as the temperature approaches the specified value. When it comes to boost control, standard
electronic controls will open the wastegate at a specified boost pressure. In some cases, the desired boost can be reached
too fast for the controller to act, and harmful overboost can occur. Fuzzy logic, on the other hand, actually learns how fast
your engine approaches maximum safe boost and starts to open the wastegate at the appropriate time so you never get into
an overboost condition. Fine-tuning your vehicle to the highest safe boost setting
eliminates the need for a wide safety margin to compensate for potential overboost. GReddy has taken all the features of fuzzy
logic and packaged them in an elegant, compact unit: the PRofec. It's outfitted with a high-speed processor, a warning alarm,
LED display and an overtake boost system as developed on turbocharged Formula 1 cars. Naturally, we include a link that
will allow the PRofec's use with future GReddy electronic control technology. Overtake boost will let you run a specified
higher boost pressure for better economy. When you need to accelerate for passing, the PRofec allows maximum boost for a
period you control, then returns to the lower boost level automatically. This provides the best engine and turbo life without
sacrificing on-demand performance.

$320 shipped to your door!!!
