to the dyno with the silvia ICs to see how things perform.. Bottom line was that these turbos are very comparable in power, but the Z1 Stage2 turbos are less expensive. BTW, I was running 15 degrees base timing. I was tuning things to get the best power, but jeff was using an AFC and he was pulling a ton of fuel, which also adds several degrees of timing advance. His numbers are 'squeezed' numbers and are representing the upper limit of what the 1420's will generate. The only reason its not a good comparison is because my car had stock ICs at the time. Tuning for tuning, it looks like Jeff was pinging at 6000RPM, an A/F of ~12.6:1 and tons of timing advance as a result of AFC'ing it to get the A/F so lean. I would say Jeff's results were an even harder squeeze than our dyno results.
