"titanium" or "tungsten" like they imply in the article. The ceramics are oxides of metals, but the article leads the reader to say "ooh, ahhh" to exotic metals like titanium and tungsten. I know a company in Gardena, CA, that I have personally visited (for work and pleasure) that does similar coatings, they do clutches and the like for high-friction and wear/durability. Awesome concept, go ceramics! ;) SS
