I "bought" another car that is my "daily driver." There is no car but insurance doesn't seem to care about that since I pay the minimal cost of it (I think I chose an old Ford Granada that my parents used to own and insure but we just tossed it awhile back). That daily driver that has no collision or anything. You can call your Z a recreational vehicle or a show car, either way it is dirt cheap compared to a daily driver Z which I guess insurance companies freak out because of tickets/accidents. The reason I say my insurance sucks is because it took 3 weeks for me to get this system working (I guess they knew I was trying to get away with something). Anyway both of the Z's in my family are recreational vehicles and I think for both Z's on the same plan it came out (with full coverage) to be a few hundred under $2000 a year. The TT is a lot more than the 2+2 which sucks. I guess check with your various companies and see if that might work for you. Good luck.
