Message	a guy like that prob spared you a lot of heart ache by staying out of your life all these years. I'm estranged from my dad, too. Last time I saw him was at my sister's wedding > ten years ago. Last I heard he was homeless, law after him, drugs, etc. Sometimes it's better to not let blood be thicker than water. I'm sure someday I'll "hear" about his death kinda like you did, second hand. I wonder how I'll feel about it 'cause I never think about him anymore.
