generally, i prefer to see the stripe left on, because it visually balances the line along the door/hatch (where the window meets the door and where the hatch meets the body).
with the red color car, it isn't quite as noticable as on lighter colored Zs, and so it is not so bad without it. because you have the smoked rear sidemarkers and front turn signals, i think that the black/grey strip would add just a little bit too much "darkness" to the lower half of the car, and the strip would appear less subtle than it does on other cars. as it is right now, it looks very clean and doesn't really need the sttrip at all. it looks complete right now.and that's my 2 cents.
