Message This was two nights ago. Our first snow here. We knew he didn't have long, so I took this pictures.

He looks fine, but his health was fading fast.

This was last night, just before we made the decision to take him in. We already had an appointment at 8am this morning to have Tanner put to sleep, but all yesterday was painful to watch him struggle to move himself, to hear him cry from the pain he was going through. Tanner had cushing disease [ http://www.canismajor.com/dog/cushings.html. ] This is something that is a very painful and deteriorating to older dogs. So we made the most unselfish decision an owner could make and just went.

We set up Tanner for a private cremation and visitation at [ www.dignifiedpetservices.com ] for Monday. So my little girls can go say good-bye to Tanner as well. Today is a very hard day. You find yourself thinking where is that dog. Your habits over the years of feeding time, taking him out all but leave you feeling empty and confused. Like a big part of purpose has been removed from your life and no one can ready themselves for that. Thanks again for everyone's thoughts. If you've ever lost a good friend like this, it's one of the hardest things to go through. Simply because your pet never holds a grudge on you. They are always there for you, happy, wagging their little tails, first person at the door to see you everyday. Things most look back at take for granite. Something to think about as many read this, makes you want to go find your love one, pick them up and just hold them, let them know what they truly mean to you, for you never know when your going to be sitting where we are today.

Thanks guys
