really a waste of time trying to argue this stuff. Modifying the exhaust by doing things such as removing the cats DOES change the emissions output of a car. Sure, this stuff is beneficial to us, by adding hp, but states such as california have this system to check for emissions, and in some cases it is a strenous task, so that should tell you that its not necessarily taken lightly. I live in alabama, where half the cops cant even spell the word emission, so i know i dont have the first hand experience in the hassle it causes, but i really dont understand the laws like: a car has to be a certain length from the ground, things such as aftermarket intakes must be "certified" or whatever you want to call it. Those types of things i do agree with you, but *maybe* the best argument you could have is for the emissions laws to be less strict, not done away with completely. I would argue these points, and not the ones, that to a certain extent, are reasonable like exhaust emissions issues.
