Message	have a manual that guides them as to what to look for. My TT passed this test n/p. Downpipes would not have passed the visual. The guy KNEW (with his manual) about the AIV's and carbon canister, but didn't want to look for them. I now have a NEW motor, NEW (albeit, high-flow) cats and my car is failing the "test only" smog test! I think the "test only" BS has a stricter guidline for output or something. I really don't know what these f's want...all new, original emissions, new cats...and it's failing :(
