| I'm saying that you WILL get better braking from it due to it being further out. Going back to the breaker bar analogy, the bar is not an 'upgraded caliper' it is simply a 'larger rotor'. If you were to push on the 6" ratchet with one finger, you probably aren't going to get anywhere. But if you push on the 20" breaker bar with one finger, exibiting the same force as before, you have a much greater chance of breaking the nut loose. In the same manner, the stock caliper exibiting the same force on the rotor at an inch further from the center will slow the rotor more rapidly. Now obviously if you upgrade the caliper and the clamping force, it is going to stop much better than the stock caliper. But the fact remains that the stock caliper will give more braking power if moved out due to the extra leverage.
