Message :2) Agreed. TTnet is not responsible to have this feature.
:Obviously it's not TTnet's job to do any part of this forum. But they have provided a service in having classifieds which addresses the used parts market. A feedback system would be just another service offered to it's members. Other than the work to set it up, it shouldn't need any ongoing policing.
I don't like you. -1 point for you. The difference with ebay is that there is a specific item that everyone can see, and there is a feedback opportunity when that item is won by the highest bidder. The only ones to have the opportunity to provide feedback on said item are the buyer and the seller. Even with the controls ebay does have, it is still ripe with fraud. Implimenting that kind of control is far beyond the call of what tt.net should be asked to do.

:3) Not apples to apples. A car purchased through the newspaper inherantly has the buyer and seller meeting in person to display/evaluate the merchandise. Besides, no one is crying to TTnet (saying TTnet's responsible) for a deal gone bad.
Good point. However, there are other mediums for buying and selling over the internet that are very similar formats to a newspaper, and the same limits would apply. As for nobody saying tt.net is responsible, I have indeed seen people come on and say that "I bought XXX that was posted on TT.NET from TT.NET member XXX, and he ripped me off. They should ban him."

:I just think it would be a nice feature and make this site that much better.
I agree, but I don't see it being feasable.

:FWIW, I haven't been burned by eBay or a ttneter cause, as nixit suggests, I do my research to "increase" my odds.
Kudos

Sorry, i actually enjoy my car rather then try to prove something with it =) - Jack B. 06/02/02 21:29:42

Just because you have a TT doesnt make you a better person. - John(Houston) 08/26/02 22:58:26

nixit911: I'd also like an end shot (from the rear) to see how much room there is 'under the tunnel'

I don't think you're legitimate in your claims. If you are, then FUCK YOU ANYWAY! There, go print that in your cheesy Honda rag, don't want your kind viewing my site anyway! - Dallas DamonZ 02/15/00 16:03:59
