appreciated. We all know that using a cone type filter in place of the airbox and OEM filter will provide better flow and ultimately more power; the reason being the better flow due to the lack of a box and better filtering element, and the fact that the cone type has a large surface area. My question is what if we were to use a K&N type filter (2 of them as in stock) in the original airbox, but cut out the airbox covers just so that only the edges are left to hold the filters in place. Would that lead to more power because there's a greater surface area than one cone type filter? Two K&N filters have greater surface area than one cone and each filter flow just as well as cone type filter.
