Message Here's some stuff I learned when Ash was here in Gainesville (miss you Ash!):

Ash's chip actually backs off timing when a problem condition is detected, whereas the JWT chip will keep using the same timing maps. When using a boost controller, you will not drop into safety boost with either chip. But Ash's will back off timing and you are able to feel the loss in power, whereas the other chips do not and you will keep on driving obliviously.

Also, Ash's ecu also backs off the timing in 5th gear when the engine is under a lot of load, again protecting the engine. As far as I know, no other ecu does this.

That, it makes the most power, and it's cheaper. Makes easy sense to me which ECU to buy.
