Message I've always been a very cautious rain driver. When it rains I have the radio off (so I can hear sliding/hydroplaning/etc) and I've always bought the best tires I could afford. When I installed my AVC-R I made sure to wire it up so that the OFF mode was running at safety boost levels (7psi) as opposed to the normal setting which is factory boost (9.5psi). Just in case I happen to need to give it gas, it wont overboost for conditions even though if I tried, I COULD get it to spin at 7psi. It just takes a lot more effort to do so.

Another good thing to do is to take a Performance Driving School. Most of them have a wet skidpad so you can learn braking and emergency maneuvers in your Z. Personally, I think these $150-$200 all day classes are a good idea for all drivers, especially those that daily drive powerful cars.
