Message I'll start off with wheel cleaner, since the rims are always where you should start when washing your car. I used to use Casterol Super Clean, the purple bottle, since it worked good and wasn't expensive. Directions say to spray on, let it sit for a few minutes, and spray off. We all know that you need to scrub though, but that's ok because that's expected of most wheel cleaners. I was picking up oil and stuff at Murrays and realized I was out of wheel cleaner so I went to buy some more, but I then realized they don't carry (I think) the Super Clean. Instead, since Mothers is a reputable brand, I bought Mothers Wheel Mist (yellow bottle). Same directions as the Casterol, but one difference. I really don't think you have to scrub with this stuff, it might actually work. I sprayed it on one rim, sprayed the rest, and when I got back to the one rim, most of the stuff had already dripped off. I'd definately recommend this product for those of you who have intricate rims who may or may not complain about cleaning them (Wagz, this might be you!!!). I scrubbed a little anyway, just to make sure to get into the tough spots, but when I used it on the 350Z, I sprayed all the rims, went back to the first rim and sprayed a little more and all the dirt rinsed off without a problem. Most importantly, the first thing I always do (having powdercoated rims) is read to make sure it's safe, and it does state that it's safe for virtually all wheel surfaces. It was ~$5 and well worth it.

Now, can someone tell me where to get the S100 wax? I've looked everywhere and most places haven't heard of it. Anyway, since I couldn't find the S100, I figured I'd try the Turtle Wax Color Cure wax. It's supposed to cover up little scratches and stuff, so I figured I might as well, since I also know that Turtle Wax is a good brand. Fair warning, Turtle Wax is a very strong wax, and should only be used once in a while. If you use it every time you wax, it could ruin your paint, so I only use it two or three times a year at most. Continuing...they have several different colors, use common sense please, I don't think you'd want to use the red wax if your car is yellow or silver. I can't say that I noticed any less scratches afterwards than I would with any other wax, but that's ok. Why's it ok if they say it will? Because I bought it as a wax, not to remove scratches, and it works well as a wax. It went on very easily, being a liquid wax, and was removed just as simply (many liquid waxes take a long time to fully dry and are often difficult to remove without seeing the residue swirrls on the surface). I did, however, notice the next day that if I looked REALLY close at the paint, it seemed to have a little orangish tint in the directions of which I waxed in a couple spots (perhaps it only appears to be removed easily because it's a colored wax, and not white), however, after it rained it went away so I can conclude that it didn't ruin my paint, and that it was just left over wax. During the rain, though, it beaded just as it's supposed to with wax. Next time I wash the car, I'll update with how the wax is holding up, since that's the true test of wax. In conclusion, buy this product for it's waxing purpose, instead of just to cover scratches, because any wax will cover scratches just as well as this product if it's used correctly.

These two being the only new products I've used, they're the only ones I'm writing my full opinion on. However, as visible from the pics, I use several other products too. If you have any questions about the products I use (keep in mind, I detail cars for a living) feel free to ask. =)

==========Sig Begins Here==========

"Used to date a girl that was missing her right hand......
She drove [a] Civic (5spd with a big circle a-top shifter) and wore a lot clothes that had a lot of buttons. She felt she needed to simplify her life for no one. But the relationship went down hill cause I began to think she was rude. She never clapped at concerts, she never liked working out (and I am a big jump rope freak), when we went swimming ... she would just swim around in circles by herself, I used to whoop her as at Playstation. Like I said... she was just boring" - Posted by Milo (Sport Z Magazine) on October 27, 2003 at 12:27 PM
