Message	and i had him take a look at the doors, he said that he could do new door skins MUCH cheaper than what you had told me you found... i also checked with an auto engineer friend of mine, and he said that in order for a carbon fiber door to pass DOT, they not only have to retain the side impact brace, they also have to be properly tested.... but he did say that if it was just the skin that was being replaced, then it's nothing to worry about.
