I did it because i wanted a reliable 300+rwhp w/o the aid of turbos, supercharger, nitrous... I also wanted a modern fuel injected motor that had a wide variety of inexepensive aftermarket parts. The Ford 4.6 and 5.4 motors were too wide to fit in the engine bay and the LS1s 5.7 litre displacement had them on internal motor size (Displacement). I had never heard of anyone actually completing this project so i took it as a challenge. Worked out well! A HUGE thanks to Custom Steel. A shop out here in NM that did much of the welding.
