Message We took a customer's TD05-16G car to the dyno on Friday and put down a respectable 618 Rwhp with the aid of a 60 shot. Oh....this was through a automatic :-).

Well the whole project was done for a customer who street races for money(SGP does not condone this type of activity). So we did some Greddy TD05-16G's, 720cc injectors, Intercoolers, boost controller, 60 shot of Nitrous, etc... The customers only concern was that it would at least run a mid to low 11.

The customer met us at the track on Sunday afternoon. We were warned at the tech. station that if we ran under 11.99 we would be warned only once and then kicked off the track if we ran under 11.99 again since the car did not have a roll bar. They also said jokingly that if we ran under a 10.99 that they would throw us off the track immediately. The funny thing is they were kinda laughing when they said it :-).

Well I ran the car on boost alone(25 lbs) for the first run. I ran it through the 1/8 mile and let off just to see where we were at. We were suprised to see a 8.1 @ 95 Mph 1/8 mile time on only boost. I ran a 12.88 @ 70 Mph through the 1/4 :-). Then the second run I lined up against a pretty mean sounding Mustang and since it didn't have a cage I figured it probably ran mid to low 12's. I figured I could use him to gauge how fast I was running and let out later in the run. Well he launched hard but I caught and passed him a little before the 1/8 mile so I let out and got on the brakes since I passed him so fast. That run I ran a 13.5 @ 62 MPH and a 8.1 @ 92 Through the 1/8(I think I let off before the 1/8th).

Well the customer told me to run her full out on the next run. I warned him that we would only get 2 runs if it ran 11.99 or faster which I knew it would. He said he didn't care...he just wanted to see it run. Well I ran it all out and the officals came running up to the car at the finish line and told me to pull over and shut the car off. He proceeded to bitch me out about how unsafe it is to run like that without a cage and the proper safety equipment...blah blah blah. I only cared about one thing....the ticket to see what it ran. Then they killed me.....not only did they scrape the number off the car so I couldn't run again....but they would not give me the slip!!!! They also would not even tell me what it ran other then...."DO NOT come back without a cage, jacket, and harness!!!". LOL....sooooo......I can say we ran a 10.XX last night but I have no proof :-(. I plugged the weight of the car(3720) and the Rwhp and it says it should run a 10.60 :-).

I will post the dyno graph later tonight when I have them scanned in.

Needless to say the customer was very happy :-). Sorry I know this is a useless post without the proof but I thought it was cool and the customer said he will run it at his local track soon where they are less strict about cages. As soon as he does I will post a timeslip.
