If you park your car outside, I would do it for sure. Each company may be different. But once you open the door to doing anything to your car, they will be all over it. Happen to me last year when I updated my policy on my cars. I mention having after-market rims on the Black Z and they went at me with 20 questions, then ask me to send them pictures of the car with full detail of what all has been done to it. I had to keep telling them, that the car is stock ( wink,wink ) and that all I've done was got rims and that they only go on for car shows ( wink,wink ). So I never sent the pictures. Month goes by and I get a letter in the mail. Saying if the company does not receive picture of my ( one 300zx twinturbo Black ), they will discontinue coverage. But I called to the head office and talk to a Supervisor to expalin in more detail that my cars are not daily driven cars and that's why I have a policy where the cars are labeled ( Pleasure car ) with a low year mile savings. So they said don't worry about the pictures. But just the tone of the guy on the phones voice on that first call when he heard after-market, he zoned in on it hard and kept asking in round about ways to try and catch me in the after-market power parts war.
