Message with all the upgraded turbo's and lag issue, why is it not possible to design a system that kicks in the turbo's earlier in the powerband? the turbo's in new 911's kick in around 2000 rpm, virtually eliminating any lag. what is so special about porsche's design that other manufacturer's can't replicate?

this is straight from [ www.porsche.com: ]
"A maximum boost pressure of 0.8 bar is available from as low as 2,700 rpm."
"When the car is driven more assertively, the boost pressure is increased under low throttle load while the throttle valve opening is restricted. As a result, the turbines are already spinning at a higher rpm, ready for when the throttle is opened. Since less time is required to “spin up” the turbines for full acceleration, the engine offers a significant reduction in the “turbo lag” normally associated with this type of forced induction."

Looks very purdy =)

Maybe oneday...

Baby's got back!

Check out the chart...
