Subject	How to tell if a car has a short throw?

Message	I've tested a few turbo Z32's. How do you know if it has a short shifter? The first seems to have the typical "sloppy/loose" Nissan shifter. The second one seemed to be tighter. I really couldn't tell if the throws were shorter because the cars weren't driven back to back. -Thanks-
