Message designs, because of the costs of R&D involved. A good example would be K&N air filters, they definetely help but manufactures stick with the true & tried design of paper filters, because they don't have to spend a dime on R&D. And as far as the tornado, it does help Hp minimally IN THEORY. I remembered the Corvette C4 had the option of a different intake that increased the swirling effect in the intake for better combustion(increase HP).
