Message As SactoTodd said above (and he would know) yes you can keep Catalytic converters while being at Stage 3. However your performance gains would likely increase substantially if you ditched the Cats all together and opted for test pipes.

Also, I'm pretty sure that SMOG places will not pass you on the visual section alone if you have a modified exhaust in anyway, meaning you would have to set it back to stock to pass the visual alone. Meaning the high flow cats would need to be gone; so unless you're a treehugger just get test pipes and you switch them out for smog (not very hard) and put them back on after the test.

Yes you can have an ECU with intake ane exhaust. Infact you should tell the company that you have those mods as they tune the ECU to optimize performance from all of your mods.

And yes.. intake is fine with cats. Infact its the first usual mod.
