Message	Another part to manufacture and another part to make, paint, ship, and assemble on the line, more time, more effort. There's actually a lot going on with that center panel compared to integrating it with the hood, rubber edging, bracing, extra holes to attach. Could have been structural reasons as well to have hood an extra, what 8" long or so? may not have been stiff enough at higher speeds, more flex or rattle. eh...just a theory. :) brainblasta 92TT Superwhite Stupid is as stupid does.
