| Cars that should have won the gold medallion (prisitine Z32's and 260's) weren't even rejudged for Gold. It just seems like a joke to me that someone with "Pep Boys NOS floormats" now holds a Gold Cup and can be compared to Greg Fields. I honestly think the one Gold Cup awarded was deserving. The 260 Z that one was an incredible car and the people that put that car together put many hours and time in getting the car to where it was. As to the judging, people were complaining left and right about the judging at the event. 9 judges didn't show. Carlos (Cap927) was told to be a judge and was told even before the show took place that his car was not going to win (so he had nothing to worry about lol). Wagz didn't even place and that was totally mind blowing. Its amazing that you can throw a "temper tantrum" and get rejudged and win a Gold Cup. Its also amazing that the Gold Cup winner didn't even finish first or second in his class. Anyway, congrats to Chris for winning the Gold Cup. It is a very prestigious honor. If this is the type of things that are happening with the ZCCA then I really don't even know if I want to ever have a Gold Cup if my car is going to be grouped in with people or an organization such as this. The show was a real eyeopener for me as to convention style judging. I worked on the car daily for one month prior to the event and literally 3 hours on Monday and 8 hours on Tues before the show. I guess the judges saw things that they didn't like. I will get my judging sheets and see what needs to be corrected. Oh well, life goes on All and all I had a blast at the convention. It was great to meet new people and hang out. I have a ton of pics to upload from the tt.net events.
