| The amount of fuel burned is proportionate to the amount of horsepower the engine is putting out. A 800 hp Z does not require any more horsepower to cruise on the highway than a stock TTZ or even a naturally aspirated Z. So for driving around town, a high horsepower Z should get about the same gas mileage as a stock Z. A heavily modded Z has the potential to burn a lot more fuel and air, but it shouldn't be doing it when you're driving casually around town. Think about it- if 850cc injectors gave you much worse gas mileage when you were casually driving, where would all that fuel be going? Dripping out of your exhaust pipe? Creating a black cloud? If your fuel/air ratio is good and you're not gunning it, it should be getting about the same gas mileage.
