It does not have Nisson filters rated.

Supposedly synthetic oil can have extended oil change intervals. Amsoil for example suggests 25k and they have users to support this, but I have yet to see real hard facts. This is a matter of advertisement and perception. There have been many independent tests done and the most reliable are carefully controlled conditions using oil analysis with matched engines under varible real operation conditions for comparison. Some of these have indicated that oil and filter change intervals can be extended to 5 to 7k without significant differences in wear compared to 3k with dino or synthetic oil. However in the final outcome the use you put your car through is the deciding factor, like racing vs. DD.

Personally all my past and present DD cars have 3-4.5k oil and filter changes and I use a brand dino oil and I put over 200k on most without engine rebuild or replace. They would have gone longer but I sold them. One I recall was an 85 Tbird V8 with 245k we had for 14 years and the engine, auto tranny and rear end was never rebuilt or replaced. A really nice dependable car.

When racing was the vehicles use the oil and filter was changed very regular usually based on hours of engine on time.
