| First time I shifted without the clutch I didn't realize it. I figured I have broken something at the track and I was desperately trying to make it through the switchbacks in one piece. Realized later my left foot was mashing the dead pedal instead of the clutch. "What have I done?" I asked myself on the long straight. I had downshifted and upshifted without using the clutch. Since then I have practiced the technique on a different car many times, but never again on the Z Anyway, heel-toe is useful and good at the track. Left-foot braking is useful and good at the track. Double-clutch is not worth a crap to me. Practice your techniques on the street until they are fluid and automatic before using them at the track. If you can't seem to master a technique, don't dispair: you can be a good road racer, even a pro, with or without any combination of techniques.
