Message It's probably harder on the car to rev match, downshift and brake than it is to just stick the car in neutral and coast through a turn. Not to mention it probably consumes more gas that way since you're revving more.

I posted this before but I used to think that sticking your foot upright between the pedals and rotating your foot left and right was good enough for heel-toe. When you are practicing on the street, yes, that is true but when you are on the track it's a lot different. You can't get enough pedal pressure down when using the side of your foot. You have to use your entire foot, brake hard, rotate your hell to the gas and blip.
