I've heard of too many issues with the side skirt coatings wearing off in as little as 100 miles, resulting in excessive bore clearances. Z32vert has had 2 sets of Polydyne coated pistons lose their skirt coatings. On his last build he pulled his engine after 100 miles of break in due to a clattering noise, and found that the skirts were rubbed clean. Have you built any motors yet with Polydyne coated pistons?
