All I've seen are statements that say "get 2.5". Nothing backing it up... no one has dyno'd 2.25" and 2.5" back to back... I mean yeah bigger pipes are better, but if you have no intention of going with HUGE turbos, what does it matter? Most exhaust systems are only 2.36" (60mm), like the GReddy & HKS systems... 60mm used to be the norm for piping... But a 2.25" TPs is better than a cat, even gutted... Its nearly $700 for 2.5" TPs & DPs... If someone will give/lend me a set of 2.5" TPs, I'll offer swap the setup for back to back dyno runs of 2.25" & 2.5" DPs & TPs on someones Z if someone pays for the dyno time... I have some 2.5" DPs (on my Z but its a half hour to remove), and a set of 2.25" DPs and TPs, just no 2.5" TPs and I'd need a reliable Z (mine is not reliable for boost, so I cannot use my own Z). That's pretty much the only way to really know...
