Well, There are arguments on both sides, but the real goal in a turbo charged system is to get NO backpressure at all. Ideally a FULLY open exhaust would allow the best results, but obviously that is not an option. I've talked to the guy who made Scottz 3'' Downpipes and well he is a genius as far as Z's go. I'm sure Scott can go into further detail (didn't get too technical). But either way his car is blazing fast (scotts). Than again ppl have also posted dyno's of only gaining 6-9 rwhp by adding 2.5'' downpipes so you can take most peoples 'tests' with a grain of salt. -JokerF15
