An under 2.5-liter series? A DTM-type series? "The whole direction of the Trans-Am will be out before SEMA. We did just a little thing with the four-valve engine, the first thing that’s generated new excitemement for the Trans-Am in quite a while. We’re going to announce the direction for Trans-Am in ‘04 and ‘05 at SEMA. You won’t see a lot of physical changes in ‘04, but a major change in ‘05. "Wouldn’t it be cool if you could actually have a 2.5 (or ) 3-liter kind of series and you could run 350Zs and Porsches and instead of it having to be a 3-hour driver change, let’s actually have a race where you can see who drove it and who won."
